What is the Draft POS Item Cost Calculator?

It’s a tab in WISK that shows all POS items that don’t currently have a pour cost calculated. It helps you quickly identify missing recipes, auto-match existing ones, and complete your costing workflow faster.

How does WISK know which POS items to include?

WISK automatically includes any sales item from your POS that doesn’t have an assigned pour cost—either because it's missing a recipe or not linked to one.

Does WISK automatically match recipes to POS items?

Yes. WISK attempts to auto-match POS items to recipes based on the item name. If a match is found, it links the recipe and calculates the pour cost using your latest invoice data.

What happens if there’s no matching recipe?

If no match is found, WISK marks the item as “Missing Recipe.” You’ll need to create a new recipe and map it to the POS item to see the pour cost.

How is pour cost calculated?

Pour cost is calculated based on the ingredients and quantities defined in your recipe, using the most recent invoice prices synced to WISK.

Is the data in the Draft POS Item tab updated automatically?

Yes. The tab updates dynamically as new invoices are processed, recipes are created or edited, or POS items are added. You’re always working with the latest data.

Can I prioritize which items to cost first?

Absolutely. You can sort the list by Total Sales or Cost Impact, so you can start with the items that have the biggest effect on your margins.

Will this work across multiple locations?

Yes. WISK supports multi-venue operations, and the Draft POS tab helps you standardize and complete recipe costing across all outlets efficiently.

Do I need to re-link recipes if invoice prices change?

No. Once a recipe is linked, WISK automatically updates the pour cost based on your latest invoice prices—no manual adjustments needed.

Can I export the Draft POS Item list?

Exporting isn’t necessary. The Draft POS Items tab is built as an interactive workspace, allowing you to manage costing, match recipes, and prioritize items—all directly within WISK in real time.
